A waterproof duffel bag is a large, open travel bag whose shell, seams and closure keep water out. Instead of stitched seams covered with tape, our duffels are formed from TPU or PVC fabric joined by high-frequency welding, so there are no needle holes for rain or spray to work through. How Are Our Waterproof Duffels Tested?
Duffels rated IPX7 go through a full water-immersion test of two hours or more on sampled units from every batch. IPX6 duffels are tested against heavy rain and water jets. Weld peel tests run at the start of each production run, zippers are cycled 3,000 times on our fatigue tester, handles and strap anchors go through more than 1,500 load cycles, and fabric is checked for abrasion and colour fastness. When customers inspect shipments, we follow the full procedure of unboxing, vacuum extraction, a 24-hour static rest and an air-leak determination.
Can Waterproof Duffel Bags Be Customised?
Yes. We produce waterproof duffel bags in your Pantone colours and sizes, with welded logo patches, screen printing or embossing, custom pocket layouts, removable straps and retail packaging, or develop a new design from your sketch or sample. Waterproof Duffel Bag FAQ
What is the difference between a waterproof duffel bag and a dry duffel bag?
A dry duffel bag closes with a roll-top like a dry bag and is built for paddling and boat trips. A waterproof duffel bag can also use an airtight or waterproof zipper, which opens faster for travel and gym use.
Can a waterproof duffel bag be submerged?
Duffels with an airtight zipper or roll-top rated IPX7 are tested for immersion. Duffels rated IPX6 protect against heavy rain and spray but are not designed to go underwater.
What size waterproof duffel bag do I need?
20 to 30 litres suits the gym, day trips and carry-on travel. 40 to 60 litres suits weekend trips, camping and boat trips. 70 litres and above suits expeditions and bulky gear.
Can a duffel bag be carried as a backpack?
Yes. Convertible duffel backpacks have removable padded shoulder straps, so the bag can be carried by hand, on one shoulder or on the back.
What is the MOQ for custom waterproof duffel bags?
The standard MOQ is 300 pieces per design, including your logo, and sizes of one model can usually be split within the order.
